Larry Srubas fondest memories involved generous helpings and people connecting at their humble kitchen table. As a fitness trainer, his own experience and the challenges his clients expressed with “meals on the run” inspired him to develop a food bar that offered more. He explained the manner in which he chose his ingredients, researching both nutritional aspect, historic origins and cultural roots. The name we chose, Srubas Global Food felt natural and allowed for future product lines. The package artwork and copy reflect the cultural inspiration behind each flavor. An important goal of the design was to be approachable in contrast to other intimidating “athletic bars”.
